Hair Ideas

A Fancy Ponytail
Instead of a tricky updo, try this loose windswept style. It's a pretty way to play up your natural hair texture!

Step 1: Curl Your Hair
For straight or wavy hair, hold a curling iron vertically, and curl small sections at a time, carefully rolling the iron away from your face. For curly hair, apply a frizz-fighting cream to damp strands and air-dry, then use a curling iron for touch-ups.

Step 2: Tease the Crown
Lift pieces at the top of your head and tease toward the roots to create height. Do this in small sections, spraying each with hairspray so they don't fall. When you have enough volume, gently comb back the top layer to smooth over any knots.

Step 3: Tie to the Side
Gather all of your hair into a low side pony, positioning it just behind your ear. Secure with an invisible elastic. Finish the look by tying a colorful ribbon in a bow around the elastic, then pulling a few wispy pieces out to frame your face.

A Twisted Bun
This sporty-chic style is a fun update to a ho-hum bun.

Step 1: Twist Your Hair
Make a deep left-side part, and gather the top section of hair from your forehead to your crown. Apply a squirt of texturizing spray, then roll the hair away from your part to form a tight twist. Hold the twist tightly while you grab an elastic.

Step 2: Make a Side Pony
Pull the rest of your hair into a low pony behind your left ear, and secure the ends of your twist in the ponytail too. Separate the pony into two sections. Twirl one section into a twist and wrap it around the elastic to make a small bun, leaving the hair in the other section loose.

Step 3: Create a Bun
Pin the ends of the small bun against the back of your head. Next, twirl the rest of your loose hair into a twist, and wrap it around the outside of the smaller bun; pin the ends underneath. Smooth flyaways with a dab of shine wax.
